The Yorkshire Hussar's

The Yorkshire Hussar's Regiment was formed on the 13th August 1794, as the 2nd or Northern Regiment of West Riding Cavalry.

In 1819 the title was changed to that of the Yorkshire Hussar's. It's additional title of the Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own, was conferred upon it to mark the occasion of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, when the Regiment provided a detachment to take part in the Royal procession through London.

It's present Badge of the White Rose was the Badge of the Yorkist King's.

An officer of the Yorkshire Hussars as he would of been dressed in 1902.
