The Queens Own Worcestershire Hussars

The Queens Own Worcestershire Hussars adopted khaki service dress in 1900, and with it an all brass badge of the pear blossom surrounded by a wreath. This continued to be worn up to 1913, when the pear blossom was changed to white metal.

The Archers of Worcetershire in the Hundred Years War wore the badge of the pear tree on their Jerkins, and the volunteers had a pear tree as their badge, the badge was chosen to maintain the association between the Regiment and the county of Worcestershire.
