The South Nottinghamshire Hussars (Yeomanry)

The Cap Badge is emblematic of the oak forests of Nottinghamshire. The standard presented to the Regiment in 1795 bore as a badge an Oak tree with goldern acorns. The present badge of the Regiment was taken into use in 1898, previously the badge was a monogram "SNYC" superimposed on two crossed swords surmounted by a crown.

The Regiment was retasked once the 1st World War wass over, it became the 107th Regiment (RHA), (South Nottinghamshire Hussars Yeomanry), which was later to be know as the 107th Medium Regiment. in 1940 it seems the Hussar's title was dropped and the Regiment was know as 150th Field Regiment (RHA).
